Meet the Team

  • Brittany L. O'Bryant, MS, LPC, NCC, CPCS, RPT

    Owner and Clinical Director

I am a mother and am ever-amazed at this journey of parenthood and the impact of life transition.

Children learn to better identify their sense of self, become aware of their emotional experiences, explore perspective taking, and develop awareness of limits during their work with me. I won’t just bring your child in the room and leave you as the caregiver in the dark. You will gain tools and in fact, caregivers of my clients often receive “homework” to continue the work outside of session. I will partner with you to understand what is working in the caregiver/child relationship and we will work together to brush up on what isn’t. There are no cookie cutter solutions here- because life is never that simple. BUT… I have so many tools and strategies at my disposal AND the intuition to help you find peace and internal guidance for your child. I help children by helping their support systems too. Sessions are held on a weekly basis. I want your kid to leave their first session feeling like, well, a kid- curious, playful, and full of hope. I also want that for you!

Perhaps you just read the paragraph above and felt a pang of grief for the childhood you didn’t have. You’ve spent your adult life, seeking some feeling of “enough-ness.” You’ve tried to succeed in your job because that is measurable. You’ve sought out additional certifications, trainings, furthering your education, anything you can think of to prove your worth. This bleeds into romantic relationships and friendships where you find yourself chronically needing to “check-in,” doubting yourself without some outside validation. Those feelings don’t have to take up valuable real-estate in your brain forever. You’re enough.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, holding a Masters of Science from Georgia State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am Nationally Certified Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor.

Are you seeking a space to explore your inner world, navigate life’s challenges, and embark on a journey of self-discovery? I specialize in integrating psychodynamic and client-centered approaches to guide individuals, families, and children through their unique journeys towards wholeness and fulfillment. With a deep understanding of human behavior and psyche, I provide compassionate support tailored to each client's needs.

I offer a nurturing environment for children through play therapy, recognizing that their language is often expressed through the medium of play. By engaging in this natural form of communication, children can explore their emotions and experiences in a comfortable and non-threatening manner. Moreover, I actively involve parents in this process, recognizing the crucial role they play in their child's development and well-being.

For adolescents navigating the complexities of identity formation, peer pressure, and academic stress, I provide a supportive space for exploration and growth. Through empathetic listening and collaborative dialogue, adolescents are empowered to discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and cultivate resilience.

Adult clients grappling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relational difficulties, or major life transitions find solace in my therapeutic approach. Drawing from psychodynamic principles, we will delve into the underlying dynamics shaping their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By fostering self-awareness and insight, clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, paving the way for transformative change.

Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your family, I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery. Together, we'll navigate the complexities of the human experience with compassion, empathy, and respect.
